Today I finished a project I had started over the weekend. Some cute Halloween blocks.
I had Mr. Saylor cut some blocks from a piece of board in the garage. I think he thought I was making a homemade Jenga game. I sanded them down a bit and painted them black. When dry I sanded the edges. Then I took some scrapbook paper in a Halloween theme that I picked up at Joanne's Fabric. It was on sale and I got to use my coupon. (the clerk was very patient wit me while I tried to hand her my phone with the MICHEALS coupon on it, oops.) I cut them into little squares and modge podged them onto the blocks. Then I used some peel and stick letters to spell Halloween.
My son said it hasn't looked this "fallish" in the house in a long time. I told him to blame it on blogging. However, he must have Fall fever too because he went apple picking yesterday and today he and his girlfriend decorated the outside of the house for Halloween. They didn't do too bad, it actually looks cute. Pics to come soon.
Until tomorrow,
Debbie
